Hong Kong is a central element in the lighting world, making the city a perfect location for this event. In 2008 Hong Kong exported a total of US$1.4 billion in lighting products. Buyer locations showing significant growth and strong potential include the emerging markets of India, Russia and Venezuela, plus Southeast Asian countries and regions.
Bright future with LED
This year’s fair will focus on LED lighting – an increasingly bright spot in the lighting world. LED lights are becoming increasingly popular due to their lower energy consumption and long life, as well as the many designs available and the use of colours. Buyers are showing increased interest in sourcing LEDs for indoor lighting, outdoor lighting and handheld lighting products.
The fair makes every effort to reflect industry trends by putting the focus on key product zones, making the latest products easily accessible to buyers. In 2010, the growing demand for LED applications is answered by the LED Lighting zone while the Holiday Lighting zone groups companies with decorative products. Other specialist areas are Crystal Lighting, Outdoor Lighting, Lighting Accessories & Components and Table Lamps.

Networking events will help you make valuable contacts and keep connected with old friends.
The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) is bringing its long and celebrated history of producing successful trade events to bear in organising the Spring Edition of the Hong Kong International Lighting Fair. The HKTDC will use its wide global network of offices and its extensive databank to identify and bring key buyers and buying missions with strong purchasing power in both emerging and established markets to the fair.
The fair takes place at a busy time during the trade calendar when many international visitors from a wide range of industries come to Hong Kong looking to find bright new themes and ideas for their businesses.
